Technical Wrapping Constructions
- Single Covered Yarn (SCY): A single layer of polyester or nylon filament is wrapped helically around the stretched spandex core. Lightweight, soft, and economical for knitwear and light stretch fabrics.
- Double Covered Yarn (DCY): Two outer layers of filaments are wrapped spirally in opposite S-and-Z directions around the spandex core. Provides complete core coverage, maximum tensile strength, and enhanced protection against thermal dye bath processing.
- Air Covered Yarn (ACY): The spandex core and outer textured filaments are intermingled using high-pressure air jet nozzles, offering high production speeds and excellent cost-efficiency.
